Goals for the education

The aim of the dental hygienist course is to enable the student to acquire theoretical knowledge, a professionally ethical and critical attitude, as well as the practical and clinical skills. Which will qualify him/ her to undertake in an independent manner the health-promoting, disease-preventing and therapeutic tasks of the dental hygienist in conformity with the changing needs of society.

The satisfactory completion of this course of training confers the immediate right to the Danish National Board of Health's authorisation to full and independent practice as a dental hygienist.
